What is a personalised storybook?
A personalised storybook is an illustrated book where your child is the hero. Their name is on the cover and on every page, and the character is painted from what they look like (skin, hair, eyes, glasses, freckles) so it resembles them.
At Meapica the story is not a template with a gap for the name. You choose the world and the three chapters, and the text is written for their age, from 2 to 12: short sentences and big type for little ones, more plot for children who read on their own. Browse books by age to find the right one.
Each book is printed at 20 × 20 cm, with 30 pages and 12 watercolour scenes. Before you pay, you see the cover with their name, their portrait and the first scenes of their story.

Do I see the book before paying?
Yes. You create their book for free, without signing up, and see the cover with their name, their portrait and the first illustrated scenes of their story. You only pay if you love it.
What if it doesn't look like my child?
You decide how they look: skin, hair colour, hairstyle, eyes, glasses and freckles, and you see their portrait before moving on. If you want to change it in the preview, change their look and we paint the book again with the new character; everything else stays. We print it exactly as you see it.
When does it arrive? Will it arrive for Christmas?
We print it on demand in Europe as soon as you order, and it arrives in 7-10 business days, shipping included. We ship to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands (not yet to the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla). To have it at home for Christmas Eve, order by 10 December; for Three Kings' Day, by 22 December.

Can I return it?
As a made-to-order book with their name and portrait, it can't be returned, which is why, before paying, you see the cover, their portrait and the first scenes of their story. But if it arrives with any printing defect or gets damaged in transit, we'll send you a new one free of charge. Just write to us within 30 days of receiving it, with a photo of the book and the packaging.
What ages are the books for?
For children aged 2 to 12. Each of the ten worlds has its own age range, and the text is written for your child's age: short sentences and big type for the youngest, longer chapters with real challenges from 8.

We print on 170 g coated silk paper, which renders the illustrations in vivid colour with a soft touch. The binding is glued, like a premium photo album, and the cover is matt-laminated. Choose softcover or hardcover, the sturdiest option.
What size is the book?
The book measures 20×20 cm (8×8 inches), the ideal format for little hands. It has 30 pages with 12 illustrated scenes, a cover, a personalized dedication and a back cover.
